BAREFOOT DINNER

Mixed media, acrylic gouache, gouache, colored pencils, Posca markers.

genre : Newspaper & Magazine

technique: Color Pencil, Gouache, Mixed Media

Dorien loves to peek behind the scenes, ride horses in tutu on one leg, while making eyes at the tigers, and to fly high on a paper circus or a wicked world of canvas. Strengths? A variety of artistic skills that she is able to combine in one project. Empathy. Legs. Likes to start traditional and sometimes ends up digital. Her work is mainly focused on illustration for children, editorial illustration and character design. Dorien finds her inspiration in the streets, old portrait-, family- and circus photography. What is it that connects people, what do they share, what is it that drives them, what goes on in their minds.
